WISCONSIN EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE VOLUNTEER REGISTRY (WEAVR) COVID-19 Staffing Request

_______________________________________________

Whether you work in a health field or not, are actively practicing, learning or retired, if you have an interest in assisting your community or state during a health crisis, we invite you to register in Wisconsin Emergency Assistance Volunteer Registry (WEAVR).

WEAVR is a web-based online registration system for Wisconsin's health professional volunteers willing to serve in an emergency. WEAVR is developed to facilitate health and medical response through identification, credentialing and deployment of volunteers.

WEAVR is part of a nationwide effort to ensure that volunteer professionals are registered prior to an emergency so that they may be properly and quickly utilized. WEAVR is a partnership that integrates local, regional, and statewide volunteer programs such as the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) and Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) to assist our public health and health care systems during a disaster.

There are several MRC units based in counties across the state, as well as multi-jurisdictional units and a statewide veterinary unit. DMAT is a federal asset made up of volunteers from around Wisconsin. Both offer advanced disaster response training, and MRCs have other non-emergency volunteer opportunities. You may indicate your membership in an MRC unit or DMAT, or that you want to learn more about them during registration.

Thank you for your interest in lending your skills and expertise to safeguard Wisconsin during emergencies.
